There are two major and challenging planetary aspects that will
certainly be leaving their marks on events in October.
The first one is Saturn-Rahu opposition (and Saturn-Ketu
conjunction), and it is usually considered to be a deadly
one. It will be most intense during October 6-18.
What are the possible manifestations of this unique
conjunction? Well, first of all it's mostly likely
to become responsible in accelerating the violence in
Middle-East, especially in Iraq and Israel-Palestine
region. The Bush administration as well as the
Republican party will likely to face some new and
unwanted challenges. It will also create new
political problems for Russia and European
countries. The man-made and natural calamities
will be on rise all around the world. Pakistan is likely
to go through a huge political as well as social turmoil
during this period. Chinese government may experience
some domestic resistance or calamities.
The second one is Uranus-Jupiter square; and it will run its
dramatic and intense spiritual influence during October
5-14. It's most likely manifestation will be through the
religious and moral crisis in the United States.
Both planets being in the sidereal fixed signs means a
ruthless and stubborn challenge that the religious
leaders in the United States will be faced with as they
are likely to come under severe pressure from public. It
also means, it is the time of religious and moral
transformation from present to a higher level.
Meaning the present norms will be faced with new
difficulties and will be required to undergo a change to
meet the needs of our human evolution for its survival.
The eventual outcome, even though we will not know it
for a long time to come, in my opinion, will be very
positive and necessary for our collective growth.
In addition to these above two major planetary configuration,
Uranus-Saturn ninefold square (Oct 16-21) will also play
an important role in shaping the world events in
October. The most pronounce influence of this
configuration will be reflected in the direct
confrontation between Democrats and Republicans in the
United States. Also, Bush administration is likely to
falter on both foreign and domestic policy matters,
further widening the credibility gap between the
administration and the American public.
On the positive side, the auspicious planetary configurations
for October are: Mars-Rahu trine and Mars-Ketu sextile
(Oct 7-12), Mars-Saturn sextile (Oct 5-12). These
will be responsible for some noticeable successful and
positive events all around the world. Some of
these may include: positive breaks for U.S. Military in
Iraq and Afghanistan, world economic expansion, a
beginning for new world order and humanitarian heroic
acts of certain individuals that human race should be
very proud of. Also, advances in technology and science will be more
prominent during this period via remarkable
research breakthroughs in biotechnology, medicine,
high tech industry and engineering sciences.
The countries that are likely to make headline news will be: European
Union, United Kingdom, United States, Russia, Iraq, Afghanistan,
Israel, and Palestine, and Pakistan.

President Bush and his administration:
President Bush's most operating and currently dominating
planet Mercury will be in the twelfth house of his
progressive chart during the entire October. In
addition, Mercury becomes retrograde on October 12 and
stays retrograde till the end of the month. As a result,
especially during the retrograde Mercury period, he is
likely to blunder on several fronts for his brain (and
therefore, the functioning of his brain) will be
tremendously influenced by the negative retrograde
Mercury being in the twelfth house, the house of
"loss".

this month President Bush will be tremendously

October 5-14 as it will manifest through the religious
and moral crisis in the United States. The religious
leaders will be faced with new moral crisis. The
present religious and moral norms will be faced with new
difficulties, and will be required to undergo a change
to meet the current needs of human evolution. The
eventual outcome, even though we will not know it for a
long time to come, will be positive and necessary for
our collective growth.
For democrats, the first half of the month will prove to be
a challenging period as they will be forced to show
their clear stand to their republican counterparts on
matters ranging from Iraq war to health care. Also,
for republicans, the first three weeks of the month will
be challenging as they will have difficulty in dealing with
stubborn Bush administration as well
as with democrats on foreign and domestic issues.

During this period the political and social turmoil are
