On
January 28 the modern planet Pluto entered the sidereal zodiac sign Sagittarius. Pluto
will stay in Sagittarius till May 28, and then with its retrograde motion will
return to Scorpio and stay
in Scorpio till November 28. After November 28, 2005 it will remain in
Sagittarius for the following 14 to15 years (till February 2020). Although
it's going to be in Sagittarius for only about 4 months before it returns to Scorpio, Pluto being the planet
of transformation will certainly affect the matters related to Sagittarius in a big way.
The drastic changes in our collective moral and religious perceptions are
certainly going to be manifested in the way we never experienced before by
Pluto's transit in Sagittarius. This era (next 15 years) will be remembered as
the period of religious revolution. The way we have been used to deal with
religions will no longer be our norms. Although it's very likely that some
of the world religions will either become obsolete or transformed into other
forms the religious or moral codes will be greatly influenced by our collective
spiritual experiences. And in that sense a subtle but most effective
transformation of world religions during this unique era of 15 years is likely
to take us to a level where the norms solely based on spiritual experiences will
dictate and guide our lives with new level of understanding.
In scientific and
technological areas a lot of drastic changes and emerging new ideas will
find their way into innovations and discoveries. The
scientific and technological growth rate will rise at a very rapid pace.
However, it will be the first time the scientific and technological research
will be more focused in areas that will attempt to bridge the gap between the science and
morality or spirituality or meta-physical sciences. The likely areas of research will be in biotechnology, medicine,
spiritual healing, and life-force related activities. A
new wave of philosophers with their new perspectives on living, in general, will certainly
transform our world in next 15 years to a new level of understanding.
The
other important planetary configurations for February are:
Uranus-Saturn (Feb 1-6) quincunx, Uranus-Rahu/Ketu and Neptune-Rahu/Ketu
ninefold squares, and Pluto-Saturn (Feb 21- Mar 3) and
Saturn-Jupiter (Feb 1-10) ninefold sextiles. While the quincunx and
squares will likely to be responsible for violence, suicide
bombings, terrorism, and natural and manmade calamities all around
the world, especially in the United States, Russia, and the middle east
region the auspicious sextiles will provide us with the much needed
positive energy to counter the negative influences and help maintain
law, order and peace all around the world.
The countries that
are likely to make headline news are: United States, Russia, Iraq, Middle Eastern countries including Israel and
Palestine.
President Bush and his administration:
For
president Bush, Jupiter's transit over his
natal Jupiter and Moon has been (since mid January) very positive,
and as a result, he will succeed in overcoming the negative forces to accomplish his
domestic and to some extent international political goals during
February. And therefore, he will continue to enjoy favorable
ratings from American public. However, with Uranus quincunxing his
natal Neptune (Feb 15 -28) and Saturn quincunxing his natal Ketu
he will have plenty of domestic challenges to deal with.
Also, US foreign policy with Russia is likely to face additional
challenges.
Saturn's
return to his ninefold eighth house calls for unforeseen danger
to his health. However, the positive influence of Jupiter,
as mentioned above, will certainly protect him from those dangers.
Nonetheless it would be prudent of him to take extra precautions
of his health and safety.
The
Country:
February
10-15 period is certainly not good for the country. The deadly
ninefold squares between Uranus and the lunar nodes (Feb 10-15)
are likely to manifest themselves in the form of violence, or
perhaps a terrorist like act, or a man-made disaster. During the
same period friction between Europe and USA and also that between
USA and the middle-east countries will be reflected in their
respective political as well as social events. In addition,
ninefold squares between Neptune and lunar nodes may become
responsible for rise in terrorism and covert activities during
February 16-23 period.
During the first week of the month (Feb 1-6) a
total lack of respect between republicans and democrats will be manifested in a
political crisis-situation, and as a result, nothing will get done
by congress. Bush will come under political pressure from
democrats. However as we approach towards the end of the month
these tensions are likely to diminish. The last week is good for
the country.

administration February 16 through 23 period will certainly prove
to be extremely challenging as he will be faced with a new crisis,
either domestic or international. The crisis maybe born out of a
terrorist act or a political gamble or just maybe a plain natural
calamity. Covert activities will gather their momentum. Friction
with neighboring countries as well as with European countries are very
likely. During the same seven day period relationship with
Bush administration may reach to its lowest point.

man-made calamities may manifest themselves in terrorism, unrest,
violence, and accidents, the natural calamities are likely to
include extreme weather conditions such as severe cold winters, and equally intensive droughts; and thunderstorms, earthquakes, air
crashes
and fires.
