The
major astronomical as well as astrological events of October are two
eclipses. While a weak solar eclipse occurs on October 13/14, a
total lunar eclipse which takes place on Oct 27/28, will have a
profound influence in Middle-East region manifesting in the form of
a new wave of violence (Oct 27-28). Also, to some extent the
continent of Europe will be negatively influenced by the lunar
eclipse during those two days in October.
The
other important planetary configurations are: Neptune-Rahu ninefold
conjunction; regular Mars-Rahu, Mars-Uranus, Rahu-Jupiter
quincunxes, and Uranus-Saturn and Pluto-Saturn ninefold quincunxes;
and Uranus-Ketu trine. The Uranus-Ketu trine will continue to
provide us with its positive energy for scientific and
technical breakthroughs, innovations, and discoveries, and as a
result, world economies are likely to opt for positives. However,
the quincunxes formed by Saturn will create an atmosphere of
uncertainty and fear as violence, suicide bombings and disruptions
of oil flow from Middle East will again take the center stage for
global events.
Neptune-Rahu
conjunction will likely to be responsible for chaotic situation in
Russia and other former Soviet block countries. Covert activities
will find a new momentum in Russia and Europe. The media, especially
in the United States, will be the subject of ridicule as it will
likely to be perceived as less and less credible. The presidential
campaign in the United States will become uglier as the divide
between the voters becomes sharper.
The countries that
are likely to make headline news are: United States, Russia,
Europe, Iraq, and Middle Eastern countries including Israel and Palestine.
President Bush and his administration:
The
Pluto continues to transit over the President Bush's natal Ketu
(Southern lunar node) and opposes his natal Rahu (Northern lunar
node) and Uranus. As a result, his post Iraq war policies and
continued violence in Iraq will put the White House on
defensive. The Neptune-Rahu ninefold conjunction is likely
to make matter worse for him during October 4-17 period. It
would be prudent of him to take extra care of his health and
personal safety during this period since the Neptune-Rahu ninefold
conjunction occurs in the unfavorable 8 th house of this ninefold progressive
chart. During the middle part of the month he is
likely to lag in polls. However, the last two weeks of the month
look good for him as Jupiter will be transiting over his natal
Neptune and the ninth house ninefold Saturn transiting its own
natal position. Consequently towards the end of the month Bush is
likely to close the gap and even regain lead in polls over his
opponent.
The
Country:
The
continued auspicious Uranus-Ketu trine will maintain positive
environment for scientific and technological advances manifesting
it with rapid technological progress through new inventions and
discoveries. However, the first half of October (Oct
1-15) is likely to see the country facing challenges with
increased possibility of terrorism at home and abroad against US
interests. During the same period frictions between different
religious factions are likely to increase.
For the Republic
Party the first half of the month will certainly prove to be a
trying period as the party members are likely to disagree among
themselves on certain key issues and policies of the Bush
administration.
Democrats
on the other hand will be facing challenges during the second week
of October as their concern about Kerry campaign reaches a new
height. For John Kerry October will seem to be a lot better than
September. He is likely to regain his lead in polls over his
opponent President Bush at least through the first three weeks of
the month. But (refer to separately provided prediction details)
the race between Bush and Kerry is likely to turn out to be an
extremely close one and may end up having a repeat recount
scenario as in the last presidential election.
·
Russia:
During
the first two weeks of October (Oct 1-13) and around the lunar
eclipse (Oct 27-28) it's likely that Putin administration may end
up having to deal with another terrorist related incident. Also,
October is likely to see Russia experiencing few political and
domestic challenges. Dealing with
Chechnya problem is likely to get worse.
·
Europe: October 4-15, Oct 27-28 are not
positive periods for European continent as terrorism possibility
(in the form of violence and
suicide bombings) looms and economic problems get worse.
·
Religion:
The first half of the month will certainly prove to be
challenging for religious leaders around the world, especially for
those in the United States..
·
Natural and
Man-made Calamities:
The Uranus-Saturn, Pluto-Saturn ninefold quincunxes (Oct 4 - 15) and Mars-Uranus regular
quincunx (Sept 30 - Oct 3) are likely to be responsible for events related to both
man-made and natural calamities. Consequently the major part
of the worldwide calamities are likely to occur during the first
half of the month and around the lunar eclipse (Oct 27-28).
While
man-made calamities may manifest themselves in terrorism, unrest,
violence, and accidents, the natural calamities are likely to
include extreme weather conditions such as severe cold winters, and equally intensive droughts; and thunderstorms, earthquakes, air
crashes
and fires.
