Principles of Vedic Astrology

This course is for beginners with no knowledge of astrology or Vedic astrology. It will cover the planets, zodiac signs, and houses with their intricate interrelationships. There is no prerequisite. The focus of the course is to provide detailed explanation of the important steps involved to be able to interpret a Vedic chart. Several birth charts will be used to gain insight in interpreting them. With active participation of all students this course is expected just not only to be a fun but a serious and enjoyable learning experience.
Course Outline
Part I
Our Solar System --- The Sun and the Planets and their astrological significances
Planets - Characteristics, Significance, Archetypal relationships
Zodiacs - Moving (Tropical) and Fixed (Sidereal)
Zodiac signs - Characteristics, Inter-relationships, and relationship with planets
Planetary Yogas, and Angles and characteristics with respect to zodiac signs
Houses - Characteristics, their interrelations with signs and planets
Planetary Aspects
Ninefold Concept and Ninefold natal Chart
A detailed chart analysis outlining every step in detail applying the ninefold concept
Part II
Planetary Cycles: Dasa and their significance
Progressive Charts and Ninefold Progressive Charts
Chart Analysis involving all the steps
Ninefold and other Progression techniques and respective charts
